Steinert outlasts Allentown in nine innings

HAMILTON » Brady Plunkett doubled twice and scored a run as the Steinert High baseball team outlasted Allentown, 5-4, in nine innings Friday at Rich Giallella Field.

Chris Reeder hit a tworun home run to give the Redbirds a 4-3 lead in the top of the sixth before the Spartans rallied for a run in the bottom of that frame and in the ninth to win.
