Trenton
Drugs: Eric Horne, 46, was hit with drug charges after street crime detectives spotted two people gambling in public. When they approached, Horne walked away despite being told to stop. He was found with pot, packaged for distribution, and $222 in cash that was seized along with dice. The second person, who cops wouldn’t name, was issued a ticket for gambling in public.
More Drugs: Christian Rosado, 25, was nabbed on drug charges on the 200 block of Academy Street by street crime detectives as he changed directions when he spotted cops, tossing garbage along the way. Cops smelled pot and found Rosado with marijuana as well as 13 decks of heroin and $779 in cash, seized as suspected drug proceeds.
Ewing
Mischievous: Someone busted out a car window with a pellet or small stone on Ewingville Road. Hide Your Car: Someone broke into a Rutledge Avenue home and stole stuff, including a key to vehicle they used to make off with the vehicle from the driveway.
Not The Rite Call: Alexander Dejesus, 31, of Trenton, was arrested and charged with shoplifting $62 worth of items from the Rite Aid on the 1700 block of Olden Avenue. Just Wow: Someone reported that a thief jacked hubcaps and a tire from his vehicle off Scenic Drive.
Drug Pop: Antonio Ocasio-Natal, 41, of Trenton, was arrested and charged with shoplifting $101 worth of items from the Hope Depot on the 1600 block of Olden Avenue. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
The $35 Pharmacy Heist: Stewart Talmadge, 47, of Trenton, was arrested and charged with shoplifting $35 worth of items from the CVS Pharmacy on the 1600 block of Olden Avenue.
Stolen Plates: Thomas Boikai, 51, of Trenton, was nabbed in a car with stolen license plates on Olden Avenue.
Car Stop: Marques Mingo, 28, of Trenton, was arrested and charged with driving under in the influence following a car stop on Chelsea and Parkway Avenue.
Hide Your Packages: A Parkside Avenue resident told cops someone jacked a package off their doorstep.
Purse Snatcher: Someone reported her purse was stolen from a shopping cart at the Shoprite on the 1700 block of Olden Avenue.
A Long Way From Home: Donna Rogers, 53, of Abbeville, Georgia, was arrested and charged with shoplifting from the Dollar Tree on the 1500 block of Olden Avenue. Rogers was also found with pot.
Camden
Authorities are investigating the death of a child in Sicklerville that happened Friday morning. The 18-month-old boy was found unresponsive around 11:40 a.m. He was sprawled out on the lawn when police got there and first responders couldn’t revive him, officials said. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after noon. Autopsy results are pending, and the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made, and anyone with information is asked to call Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Detective James Brining at 856225-8439 or Gloucester Township Police Detective Joseph McGuire at 856-228-4500.
Newtown Township
Cops responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of Oishi Japanese Restaurant, arresting the driver, 30-year-old Benedict Hyochoong Chang, of Bensalem after cops smelled alcohol on his breath. Chang failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. Cops also found a small amount of pot in the car. Blood evidence results are pending against Chang, who was also charged with driving on a suspended license.
