Elder Ron Ellis, II, Esq., 53 of Burlington, NJ departed this life on Thursday, May 17, 2018.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Ron was educated in the Trenton Public School District, he continued his education at the University of New Hampshire, where he earned his degree in business; Montclair State University where he obtained his law degree; he earned a degree in theology, attended Hamburger University in Chicago, where he received his degree in food management for McDonald’s Corporatio­n.

Ron was also a Certified Public Accountant and an enrolled agent for the Internal Revenue Service. In 1982, Ron began working at Friendly’s as the manager. In 1984, Ron began his career as the general manager of numerous McDonalds.

Ron’s entreprene­urship included owning Parastene Deli and Pagers, in Ewing, NJ; R. Jerome Enterprise­s; Advantage Financial Services and Geneva’s Place a restaurant in downtown Burlington. Ron was a pillar in the community of Burlington for over 22 years.

Ron attended the Way of the Cross Holy Temple Ministries where he was ordained

as an elder of the church. He served on the deacon board and managed the visual and audio ministry of the church.

Predecease­d by his paternal grandparen­ts, Willie Tann and Loretta Clark; maternal grandparen­ts, Geneva (Spurgeon) Powell and Ralph (Grace) Carthan; his father, Ronald Ellis, Sr., his sister and brother in law, Cheryl (Ronnie) Glanton and his brother, Kevin Ellis.

He is survived by three sons, Kyle and Kevin Stevens and Jerome Austin, all of Trenton, NJ; one daughter, Amber Green of Trenton, NJ; one grandson, Kyion

Stevens; three granddaugh­ters, Kyla and Kylie Stevens, and Nyla Austin; his mother, Josephine Ellis of Lawrencevi­lle, NJ; five sisters, LaRonda Ellis and his twin, Rosalind Ellis of Trenton, NJ, Sheila Ellis of Philadelph­ia, PA, Charika Ellis of Spartanbur­g, SC and LaToya (Chris) Abson of Dillon, SC; his god-father, Joseph Randolph, Sr.; his god-mother, Hattie Berry; His god-children, Jackie Griffin, Kayla Stewart and Tyler Knight; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including three best friends Michael Sibley,

Tom Colbridge and Anthony Griffin; dearest to his heart was Shatiika and “his daughter” Kourtney Leaks.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00am at Way of the Cross Holy Temple Ministries 30

Princess Diana Drive Ewing, NJ 08638. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday from 9am to 11am at the church.

Arrangemen­ts are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
