Police Chase: Deandre Murphy, 39, got nabbed following a weekend operation conducted by street crime detectives on the 300 block of Breunig Avenue. Cops later got a warrant to search a home associated with Murphy where they said they uncovered a stash. Murphy’s family called The Trentonian late Saturday night claiming he got beat up by the cops following a car chase. Cops conducted the operation following numerous drug-deal complaints. During the planned drug bust, detectives saw Murphy, the target of the investigation, leaving somewhere with a bag in his hands. He got into a vehicle with someone else and quickly exited that vehicle and got into another vehicle as both drove off. Detectives stopped Murphy’s vehicle near Mulberry Street and Enterprise Avenue. He allegedly tossed a bag out of car onto Route 1 northbound. The bag contained numerous baggies of heroin, police said, as cops chased Murphy’s vehicle into Lawrence Township and back into Trenton. Murphy was eventually forcibly removed from his vehicle and taken into custody after a struggle with cops. His family contended the cops used excessive force. Police spokesman Lt. Stephen Varn didn’t immediately have access to whether any of the cops filed use-of-force reports. He also couldn’t say whether patrol officers were involved in the chase or whether it was just street crime detectives. Patrol officers are equipped with body-worn cameras while street crime detectives are usually not since they do sensitive work with informants. Detectives recovered a digital scale, several dozen bags of heroin and $37,000 in cash from a home associated with Murphy. He was charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine and several other drugs offense, in addition to eluding, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest and obstruction. He was issued 15 motor vehicle tickets.

Drug Arrest: Jessie Perry, 30, was nabbed by street crime detectives. He was walking on the sidewalk when he became aware of cops presence and reversed course while trying to conceal something. Police found him with 60 bags of heroin. He was arrested and charged with multiple drug offenses and obstruction. He also had nine warrants for his arrest.

Crazy Chase: Rashaad Dawkins-Streeter, 25, was taken into custody by street crime detectives patrolling East Paul and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard following a wild chase that ended when he crashed into a city cruiser in Falls Township. It all started when Dawkins-Streeter was observed holding a brick of heroin out of the car vehicle in Trenton. As detectives closed in, Dawkins-Streeter pulled the drugs inside the vehicle and took off. Detectives tried to stop the vehicle. Dawkins-Streeter pulled over and as detectives approached on foot he sped off. The pursuit led into Pennsylvania as Dawkins-Streeter lost control and crashed into a Trenton Police cruiser, which sustained minor front end damage. He was taken into custody by Falls Township Police after a struggle. Detectives recovered 50 bags of heroin in the vehicle. He was charged with drug offense and eluding. It wasn’t immediately clear if Falls Township also charged Dawkins-Streeter with aggravated assault.

The victim told police Boardley punched her in the face multiple times and then continued the assault after stopping the vehicle. When the victim pulled over, Boardley hit her in the head multiple times with a purse that contained several items that made it very heavy. Police encountered the pair after being dispatched to the area of Robbins Avenue and E. Lincoln Highway for a fight in progress.
