Joyce P. Crowder of Trenton

Joyce P. Crowder, age 93, of Trenton, departed this life on

May 24, 2018 at Compassionate

Care Hospice at

RWJ Hospital in Hamilton, NJ.

Born in Jeffersonville, GA, Joyce graduated from Twiggs County High School in 1944. After relocating to Trenton with her husband, she worked at Rossi’s Bakery before devoting her full attention to raising her children and grandchildren.

Joyce was a member of Union Baptist Church in Trenton for over 75 years, where she served on the Ladies Guild and XYZ Ministries.

She was predeceased by her parents, Rufus and Nellie Walker; husband, Robert Crowder; daughter, Imogene Ali; brother, Colton Walker; and two sisters, Ruth Early and Irene Wiggins.

Joyce leaves to cherish precious memories her son, Alroy Crowder (Gail); two daughters, Flora McCall (Carl) and Thelma Crowder; nine grandchildren, Aisha, Ahsaki, Khadijah, Karim, Shahida, Etasha, Aginah, Jamilh, and Darius; 16 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:00 am at Union Baptist Church, 301 Pennington Ave., Trenton, NJ.

Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 8 to 10 am at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
