TDA announces Levitt AMP Trenton Music Series acts

As technology hurtles humans toward unimaginable ways of communication, posting information on refrigerator doors becomes obsolete.

A bit of valuable summer news for your fridge involves the Levitt AMP Trenton Music Series, a 10-week music extravaganza at Trenton’s downtown jewel Mill Hill Park.

The Trenton Downtown Association announced a summer lineup that includes diverse music genres guaranteed to impress all audiences.

The free concerts occur on Thursdays between the hours of 5-8 p.m. as guests spread blankets and beach chairs on the East Front St. historic park.

Food, fun and the magic of human interaction make Mill Hill Park a perfect destination.

The concert series begins June 28 and ends on August 30.

The Trenton Downtown Association (TDA) expressed gratitude for founding sponsors, New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Co. and the NJ State Council on the Arts as partners in presenting free live music in Trenton.

“The State Arts Council is proud to continue our support of the TDA and its commitment to celebrating the arts in Trenton,” said Allison Tratner, Interim Executive Director of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. “This series brings a talented and diverse lineup of musicians to beautiful Mill Hill Park — the perfect place for residents and visitors of all ages to come together and take in our Capital City.”

The Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation awarded $375,000 in matching grants to 15 nonprofits. Trenton received a $25,000 grant for a fourth consecutive summer.

While top-act performers arrive from various U.S. cities, many opening music providers live in Trenton.
