Hamilton walks off with win over Princeton

HAMILTON » Ryan Beczo singled in Jordan Nitti, who had doubled, with no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Hamilton Post 31 baseball team a 5-4 win over Princeton Post 218 Thursday at Steinert High’s Rich Giallella Field in Mercer County American Legion League action.

Princeton had tied the game at 4 in the top of the seventh on Tom Bocian’s single, which plated Andrew Morrison.

Bocian and Luke Franzoni had two hits apiece for Post 218. Joey Sacco, Chris Cote and Michael James went 2-for-3 for Post 31.

BSP 11, TRENTON 6 TRENTON » Kyle Harrington tripled, homered and had three runs batted in to push Post 313 past Posts 93/182 at Wetzel Field.

Sean Elefant also knocked in three runs for Broad Street Park, which improved to 8-1.

Juan Peña went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs for Trenton.
