Bordentown’s Irvin, Blue stymie Ewing

BORDENTOWN » Sam Irvin and Tyler Blue combined on a one-hitter to lead the Bordentown American Legion Post 26 baseball team to a 7-1 win over Ewing Post 314 Monday at Gilder Park.

Chris Wade led Post 26’s offense, going 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and two runs bat- ted in.

Cody Schroeder and Jimmy Porcelli also had two hits for B’town.

Dom Salvatore doubled for Post 314’s lone hit and scored Ewing’s run in the second inning.

HOPEWELL 4, WW-P 2 Dirk HOPEWELL TWP. » Dylan Joyce outdueled Luke Potts to steer Post 339 past West Windsor-Plainsboro at WW-P High South.

Joyce went the distance and limited the home team to four hits. Potts went 5 2/3 innings and scattered five hits.

Nick Psomaras and Jake Tobia led Hopewell with two hits apiece. Psomaras scored two runs, while Tobia had a double and drove in two.

Drew Brodine tripled and knocked in a run.

Josh Eisenberg doubled to plate both of WWP’s runs in the seventh inning.
