Hopewell’s Blake and Blair combine to pitch shutout

LAWRENCE » Andy Blake and Luke Blair combined to throw a four-hit shutout at Lawrence Post 414 and keep Hopewell Post 339 in a tie for first place in the Mercer County American Legion League with a five-inning, 11-0 win Thursday at Eggerts Crossing Park.

Blair also led Hopewell’s offense, going 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and three runs batted in.

Jake Kmiec, Ryan Mains, Aidan Jodoin and Chris Conti singled for Lawrence.

Jacob Fanning tripled and drove in three runs to spearhead North Hamilton’s comeback. Jack Parker went 3-for-3 and scored twice, while Nick Rocco and Tony Morency had two RBIs.

Chris Perdoni went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI for South Brunswick.
