The sister told cops she and her brother argued when he grabbed a pillow and tried to smother her. Then he put her into a chokehold until she almost passed out, fleeing the home. Fairman was picked up by cops on Evergreen Avenue.

Drug Arrest: Maurquier Jones, 21, was hit with drug charges after he got arrested on the 300 block of Centre Street, where street crime detectives saw him showing something to somebody. The men walked away from each other when they saw the boys in blue. Cops stopped Jones, who shoved something into his pocket, suspecting they broke up a drug deal. After smelling pot on Jones, cops recovered six grams of marijuana and $148 in cash, seized as suspected drug proceeds.

Murder Charges: Rodney Beaty, 27, Dwayne Lynch, 29, and Jaquan Wilkerson, 19, are charged with murder and related offenses in connection with the 2016 death of Robert Colter III, who was shot outside his Bristol Township home in the 500 block of Bath Street. All three suspects are currently incarcerated for other offenses. According to court documents, Beaty told police he and Wilkerson were riding in Lynch’s car when “they observed a vehicle belonging to the girlfriend of a rival parked by Robert Colter’s house.” Lynch then parked on Swain Street, Beaty said, and told Wilkerson to fetch a gun from a backpack in the rear of the vehicle. Lynch and Wilkerson then exited the car – Lynch with a 9mm handgun and Wilkerson with a .40 caliber pistol, according to Beaty. Leaving Beaty in the car, Lynch and Wilkerson walked to Bath and Mifflin, fired several shots, and ran back to Lynch’s car. At the scene, police later recovered shell casings from 9mm and .40 caliber weapons, according to court documents. Beaty told police he drove away, swapping out the car for an associate’s vehicle before the three headed south on Interstate 95. The suspects threw the .40 caliber gun out of the window along I-95, Beaty said, drove to Philadelphia, then later returned to Bucks County. The 9mm casings from the crime scene were later matched to a handgun recovered in Philadelphia during an unrelated search warrant, court documents say. Colter, a 20-year-old father of twin girls who was studying nursing at Bucks County Community College, was shot in the head around 8 p.m. on Feb. 16, 2016. He died several hours later. Wilkerson was 17 years old at the time of the shooting.
