Maryann Weeks

Maryann Weeks, 72, of Denver, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, in Oceanview, DE. She was born in Trenton, NJ to the late Joseph and Florence (Edinger) Rieszer and was the wife of George Weeks III with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.

Maryann had worked for 25 years for Direct Wire & Cable, Denver. She played bingo every week and always looked forward to volunteering at the bingo stand at the Denver Fair. Maryann enjoyed her weekly “coffee group” with friends at Javateas, she enjoyed the beach and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, George J., husband of Tina Weeks of Roanoke, VA; a daughter, Candace L.,wife of Andrew Keith of Denver; 4 grandchildren, Owen, Brandon, Sommer and Dylan; three siblings, Joe and John, Rieszer and Kathy Skimelis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William “Billy” Rieszer.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018, from 10 to 11 am, at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver, followed by her funeral service at 11 am. Interment will take place in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
