It was a senior year that reached well beyond expectations for Kirsten Littlefield.

The accolades just seem to continue for the former Allentown High standout, who just completed her senior season of lacrosse at Mary Washington.

Since graduation, Littlefield has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Female Athlete of the Year and for the second straight season was named first team AllAmerica. It was the third straight season she garnered All-America honors.

“I’m very excited to have capped off my senior year with such a valuable accolade,” said Littlefield. “I credit my team with making all my accomplishments possible.”

These honors followed her being named the CAC Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year and the conference Player of the Year.

“My collegiate experience was fantastic,” said Littlefield. “Going into college I knew what I wanted to study, I knew I wanted to play lacrosse at a very high level and I knew what type of school I wanted.”

Mary Washington proved to be the perfect place, both academically and athletically.

“My final year at UMW has exceeded all my expectations for what I could accomplish,” said Littlefield. “Being named the CAC Female of the Year means that, across all different sports in a conference with exceptional competition the CAC Athletic Directors felt that I was worthy of superior athletic achievement and I certainly don’t take that lightly.”

A biology major, Littlefield took a little time off after graduation and then the competitive spirit took over.

“The less time off the better,” said Littlefield. “I took some time off and immediately started looking for opportunities to play and stay involved in the sport. I hope to continue making an impact in the lacrosse community in the years to come.”
