John “Jack”

R. Page, 88, of Langhorne, PA, passed away on Saturday, July

21, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne, PA.

Born in Kingston, PA, he grew up in the Trenton area. Jack played on the Trenton Post 93 Schroths American Legion. In 1945 and 1946, he was a two-time American Legion National runner up. He signed his major league contract with the New York Giants on February 10, 1949. At one point, he had the highest ever minor league batting average for a left-handed pitcher. Jack was an avid golfer and loved watching sports, especially the Phillies and the Philadelph­ia Eagles.

Predecease­d by his parents, John W. and Leah Page; his brother, William G. Page, Sr.; and his first wife, Betty Mae Page; he is survived by his wife, Dolores B. Page; his daughter, Lynda (Dennis) Crespo; his sons, Rick (Gail) Page, Michael (Margie) Page and Geoffrey Page; his step-daughters, Pat (Robert) Smith, Susan (Perry) Cummings; his brother, Kenneth (Audrey) Page; and his 8 grandchild­ren, Jacob, Shelby, Michael D., Jonathon, Michael B., Cara, Casey and Kristin. Funeral services will begin on Friday, July 27, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.

Interment will follow at Colonial Memorial Park in Hamilton. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
