Trenton releases schedule for 2019 season

Start marking your calendars for Thunder games in 2019.

Trenton released its schedule for next season on Monday, which features 70 total home games against all other 11 Eastern League teams.

Following a six-game road trip to begin the year in Erie and Akron, the Thunder will play their home opener against Portland on Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m.

Arm & Hammer Park will host 11 games in April, 16 in May, 16 in June, 13 in July, 12 in August and two in September.

Twenty-one of those contests are against rivals of the Yankees organization (Phillies, Mets and Red Sox affiliates). Reading visits Trenton for two different series (seven games) fron June 24-26 and Aug. 30Sept. 2. Binghamton will play the Thunder for one series in Trenton from May 16-19. And Portland comes to Arm & Hammer Park three times from April 1214, May 10-12 and May 2023.

The Thunder will continue “Education Day” midweek games slated for Wednesday, April 17, Wednesday, May 1, and Thursday, May 23 at 10:30 a.m. Special “Camp Day” games are slated for Wednesday, July 24 at 11 a.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 7 at noon. The team will also host a “Business Person Special” on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 1 p.m.

Fireworks dates and promotions for 2019 will be released at a later date, the team said in a release.
