Trenton School District holding Back to School Extravaganza
Everybody please take your seats.
Would not want anyone to fall down after hearing this disturbing news which will deliver shockwaves throughout the City of Trenton. And put away that Alice Cooper “Schools Out for Summer” vinyl leisure anthem for the reality of life.
Schools in, or just about as the Trenton Public School District announced a date and information for the Annual Back to School Extravaganza Event on Friday, August 24, 2018.
“We have had tremendous success with the Extravaganza in previous years and we expect this event to be as successful, said Denise Holguin, Parent Coordinator for Trenton Public School Districts.
“Holguin thanked “community partners and vendors who continue to support this event”, including major sponsors Aetna, Comcast, ETS, Source 4 Teachers, Motivated Security, and Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.”
Gates will open at 10 a.m. at the Trenton Board of Education Building, 108 North Clinton Avenue, Trenton parking lot. Free parking will be available at Grant Elementary School; 159 North Clinton Avenue.
All parents/guardians of Trenton Public School District students are invited to join district staff, partners, and community organizations for a chance to receive educational material, giveaway/raffles, school supplies and a free grilled lunch, which will be provided by the Food Service Department, Aramark.
The Extravaganza allows families the chance to meet representatives from their child’s perspective school site and receive free school supplies. This year all families regardless of their income status will be eligible for free lunch; however, will still be required to complete a lunch survey form that will be available at the Extravaganza event for completion and submission.
“Breakfast has been free and now lunch is available for all families, no matter their income. Hopefully, we see a higher participation for lunch,” Holguin added.
