Elect veterans who will put country first
When I was a boy, I grew up admiring my five Uncles who served in World War II for their service and patriotism. Their commitment to our country was forged in the crucible of overcoming the Great Depression and in the global struggle to defeat Fascism. They would be appalled by the current state of our nation today. As our nation grows increasingly divided and as our Free Press is attacked, as concerned citizens recoil from the harsh and fierce partisan gridlock which is the current State of Affairs in Washington, there is a pool of candidates out there who want to stop the madness, preserve the rule of law and restore bipartisanship to Congress.
Our veterans who have served our country and defended the Constitution understand the fragility of Democracy, will put country first and work to get things accomplished again. Here in New Jersey’s Fourth Congressional District, we have such a candidate. Josh Welle, a twelve year Navy Vet, was President of his class at Annapolis, and served in both Iraq, the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan. Josh’s call to duty is motivated by love of country and preserving the ideals it was founded upon, not by rigid ideological orthodoxy, as the current incumbent has been encumbered by for the last 38 years.
What is needed badly in Washington is a new generation of leaders who will reach across the aisle and recognize each other as fellow citizens with common goals and aspirations that can be molded into policy for the betterment of all Americans, much like the returning veterans of World War II did. Today I urge all my fellow Americans to look beyond party affiliation and vote for veterans’ who put Country First, and in NJ CD 4, Josh Welle for Congress on November 6th.
