The Gruerio Funeral Home is a third generation family owned and operated full service funeral home established in 1929 by the late Joseph R. Gruerio. Mr. Gruerio, born in South Philadelphia, established his first funeral home in the Chambersburg section of Trenton 86 years ago, because of his fondness for the people and culture of the area. His second funeral home was located on Hamilton Avenue and then he moved to the present location of 311 Chestnut Avenue in Trenton.
The funeral home is still a family owned and operated business run by his daughter and grandchildren continuing his tradition of helping all who are in need at a most difficult time in their lives, with personal care and attention to each and every family that they serve.
It provides all-funeral and cemetery services, including a full range of cremation services, cemetery options, a continuing care program that extends beyond ceremonies, and complete prearrangement services.
