All That Jazz Dance Academy recently celebrated their 20th anniversary, and 8th time winning Best Dance Studio. Their Junior Competition Team attended Inferno’s Regional Dance Competition and was chosen to perform again that day, only one of five dances chosen. They also attended Inferno’s National Dance Competition in Atlantic City, New Jersey and won Elite Platinum, and first place overall. They were named Grand Champions.

In it’s 20 years All That Jazz has produced many professionals in the dance and entertainment industry; dancers, company directors, choreographers and singers. The academy offers classes in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater and hip-hop as well as pre-school and adult classes. They offer a Pre-Professional Program where dancers study every genre of dance and choreograph their own piece for the end of the year performance. All That Jazz students travel to NYC for professional level classes.

20 years ago, owner and artistic director Debby Delpopolo envisioned a safe, nurturing, home away from home where dancers would learn to love dance. She has created a teaching style that encourages high self-esteem in dancers. Every class is overseen by Miss Debby to ensure the highest quality of teaching. She began studying dance at various studios at 2 years of age. Her first dance teacher was Miss Terry of Hamilton. She performed in charity shows, competitions and exhibitions starting at 3 years of age. She studied Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theater, Pointe, Hip-Hop and Graham Technique. Miss Debby won numerous trophies and special judge’s awards during her competition career. She was the youngest in her studio to perform a solo at 5 years of age where she sang and danced. Later, she performed with Mercer Dance Ensemble based in Mercer County Community College, while earning her Associates Degree in Psychology and Child Development. She also studied Abnormal Psychology and the Psychology of Women. Miss Debby danced professionally at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ and was Dance Captain. She studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Broadway Dance Center in NYC, and Steps On Broadway in NYC. At UArts she was privileged to have studied Tap with Lavaughn Robbinson, one of the originators of Tap, and Jazz with Roni Koresh director of Koresh Dance Company in Philadelphia, PA. She also studied Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Brazilian dance and Graham Technique at U of A. At Broadway Dance Center she studied Hip-Hop, and Jazz with Frank Hatchet. At Steps she studied Tap with Janai Cutcher, Hip-hop with Jonathan Lee among others. She was a featured dancer on the TV show Dancing’ On Air, and recently began Flamenco classes.
