TRIVIA - GANGSTERS

-

1. To be frank, it’s a wonder this American gangster is still alive. He controlled Harlem and a huge portion of America’s heroin trade by supposedly having the drug packed into military coffins.

2. This father of modern organized crime was a proud naturalized U.S. citizen, but his luck ran out in 1945 when he was deported despite helping Allies gain access to Italy.

3. This handsome psychopath was always bugged by his nickname, and he probably didn’t like it when in June 1947 he took two bullets through the head while sitting in his Beverly Hills home.

4. This Boston native is still alive. He did time in the Air Force and Alcatraz, was an FBI informant and the FBI’s most wanted, and his brother was once led the Massachusetts Senate.

5. As a young man, this mobster worked as a bouncer at a Brooklyn bar when he had his face badly slashed. Later, after he moved to the Midwest, he tried to pass the scar off as a war wound.

6. Ongoing prohibition, as it’s defined, escalated this late South American billionaire’s mega-snowfall. His trick was, “you bribe someone here, you bribe someone there, and you pay a friendly banker to help you bring the money back.”

7. This slippery man, who died at 61, spent about one-quarter of his life behind bars. Ironically, during the last stint he got, he paid protection to prison gang Aryan Brotherhood.
