William E. Archer, Jr., 71, of Ewing and Ship Bottom died suddenly on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in Killarney, Ireland. Born in Trenton, NJ he resided most of his life in Bordentown and Ewing. A graduate of Mercer County Community College with an Associate’s Degree he was the owner-operator of Archer Electric Inc. He was a member of the Central Jersey Electrical League Inc. and the Bordentown Elks. He served his country proudly and was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Bill was happiest when playing golf or spending time at the shore. Son of the late William E. Archer Sr. and Celia Olds, grandfathe­r of the late Justin Weckel, brother of the late Louis Archer, he is survived by his loving wife Sally Barthelemy-Archer; his son William E. Archer, III; daughter and son-inlaw, Shannon and Leonard Pope; sister and brotherin law, Shirley and Wayne Boyte; brother-in-law, John Dean Barthelemy; four grandchild­ren Brenden, Jeremey, Louis and Samantha, and nieces, nephews and cousins. The Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am on Monday September 10, 2018 from the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home 40 Vandevente­r Avenue, Princeton. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
