Gino Galli, 94, of Pennington, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 15, 2018 with family at his side. Born in the Chambersbu­rg section of Trenton, he was a resident of Pennington for the past 64 years. He graduated from the Trenton High School class of 1943 and went on to serve in the United States Army Air Corps until 1946. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University and a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law class of 1952.

Gino worked for the State of New Jersey Department of Health as a legislativ­e liaison until his retirement. Most notably, Gino was the founder, along with his wife Rose, of Camelot School in Pennington which is celebratin­g its 50th year. He was a past president and member of the Ewing Kiwanis Club since 1963. He was very involved in the community and gave much of his time as a board member for the Pelletieri Home for the Aged, the Hopewell Valley YMCA, and the Fermi Federation. In his retirement Gino was able to enjoy being a part-time resident of Sanibel Island, Florida for over 30 years where his favorite activities included boating and fishing.

He was known for his “louder than life” personalit­y and positive outlook and will be dearly missed by all that knew him and loved him. He is survived by his wife Rose, his son David, his daughter Gina (Behnfeldt), his daughter-in-law Susan Galli (Udy), and his son-inlaw Stephen Behnfeldt. He is also survived by his grandchild­ren, Jacqueline Galli, Nathaniel Behnfeldt, and Juliet Behnfeldt, and a step-grandaught­er Katie Hilliard, his nephews Thomas and Arthur DiPaola and their wives, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 5pm to 7pm Thursday, September 20, 2018 with services following at 7pm at the Wilson Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Rd., Pennington, NJ 08534. The interment will be private. Condolence­s are welcome at www.WilsonAppl­e.com.
