Rose Lontz, age 90, a lifelong resident of Burlington, NJ, passed away on Thursday, Oct 12,

2018 at the Masonic Home. Born in Philadelph­ia, PA, she was the daughter of Giuseppe and Italia (Angelini) Manzi. Upon the death of her mom, Rose left school at the age of 16 and ran her family’s neighborho­od store on Bordentown Road until 1965. She went on to work for the Food Service Department in several Burlington City schools. Rose held office in the Neptune Hose Company #5 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling and socializin­g with her many girlfriend­s.

Above all, family came first to Rose. Her favorite times were spent cooking her fabulous Italian meals and sharing them with her love ones. Rose was predecease­d by her husband, Edward J. Lontz, her step-sisters, Assunda Massimi, Lesandrina Morlack, Mary Onori and her daughter-in-law Jeanne (Rush) Lontz. Surviving are her two sons, Alan (Barbara) and Bruce, five grandchild­ren, Carli (Adam), Jason (Alecia), Jamie, Justin (Jillian) and Timothy and five greatgrand­children, Aidan, Gavin, Alora, Emmett and Conor.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the Lontz family on Saturday morning to remember Rose between 8:30 am and 10:00 am at the Page Funeral Home 302 E. Union St. Burlington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, St. Paul’s Church 223 E Union St. Burlington. Interment & graveside tribute will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
