Jones, TCA stay in division hunt

- Staff Report

HAMILTON >> Chazz Jones scored twice, off assists from Loyalty Bush and Jeremy Gonzalez, to get the Trenton Catholic Academy boys soccer team a key 2-1 win over Maple Shade Monday.

The victory gives the Iron Mikes a chance to at least share the Burlington County Scholastic League Independence Division title if both TCA and the Wildcats win out.

It was a major turnaround for head coach Scott Alvarez’ 6-2-1 squad, which had dropped its opener, 6-1, at Maple Shade. The Iron Mikes return to action at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday when they host Lawrence in a Mercer County Tournament play-in game.
