Are you part of the ‘mob’?

-

I guess I’m part of what Donald Trump is calling “The Angry Mob”. You may be too, if your angry about how little respect he has for the office of president; or if you’re angry about the way he disrespects our friends & allies and praises our enemies.

You could be part of the mob if your angry about the way our president treats woman, the way he insults minorities, the way he bullies reporters and the way he considers the free press to be enemies of the people.

You might be a member of the mob if your a senior citizen that’s angry because he supports efforts to cut social security, Medicare and Medicaid so he can pay for tax cuts that went to the wealthiest Americans.

You’re already a mob member if you’re angry that the republican controlled senate tried to repeal the Affordable Care Act and eliminate preexisting conditions from your health insurance. You might also be angry because prescription drug prices are increasing at a rate 10 times faster than inflation and you can’t afford to send your kids to college.

I can go on and on, but we need to do something to change what’s happening in this country and we need to do it now before its too late.

Many republicans, democrats and independents feel the time has come to join together by voting a straight democrat ticket and send a message to Washington that are we are all mad as hell and will not take it anymore. — Joe Tighue, Hamilton Democrat

Vote November 6

On social media, in conversation with family or friends, someone is inevitably blabbering about the state of affairs in America today. Like it or not, freedom of speech is a precious commodity. And equally as precious is our right to vote.

United States statistics show that approximately 60% of those eligible vote in presidential elections, but only 40% vote in midterm elections. And this November’s midterm elections are truly critical. To me, we have an opportunity to overturn the regressive policies that have: pandered to corporate special interests, degraded environmental protections, chipped away at women’s and LGBTQ’s rights, disenfranchised minorities, and sullied our nation’s humanity.

On November 6th we have the opportunity to make a difference. My vote will go to Josh Welle for congressperson of New Jersey’s 4th Congressional District. He will protect the environment and go to bat for women and minorities. He will work to make life better for those of us who are not part of the protected elite.

Exercise your right to vote on November 6th!
