PDS reaches Prep B final, to face MKA for 4th straight year
PRINCETON >> Ariana Jones scored the game-winning goal in the second half and the top-seeded Princeton Day girls soccer team knocked off fifth-seeded MorristownBeard, 1-0, to reach the Prep B final.
Jones scored off a pass from Sophia Miranda. Riley Felsher stopped seven shots to get the shutout.
PDS has won at least a share of the last four Prep B title and once again faces Montclair Kimberley in the final. The two schools have shared the last two championsiops (both 0-0 draws), while PDS won the previous two outright, beating MKA, 1-0 in overtime in 2015, and Morristown-Beard in 2014. ALLENTOWN 3, WW-PN 1 ALLENTOWN >> Lauren Coiante scored twice and the Redbirds bounced back from their MCT final defeat to compete a perfect CVC season for the second straight year.
Emma Pascarella scored and had an assist for the Redbirds, who went 13-0 in league games and finished with 32 points out of 32.
