Bush’s hat trick gives TCA share of division title

MEDFORD >> Loyalty Bush’s hat trick led the Trenton Catholic Academy boys soccer team to earn a share of the Burlington County Scholastic League Independence Division title with its 4-1 win over Medford Tech Friday.

Already having locked up its first winning season since 2014, head coach Scott Alvarez’ club gained its first division banner since 2013 by going 7-1 in the newly formed Independence Division to match Maple Shade’s league mark.

Jeremy Gonzalez added a goal and Alex Chinchilla provided an assist to help TCA head into state play with its third win in its last four games. TCA (9-4-1) 3 1 — 4 MedfordTech(4-10-1) 0 1 — 1

BORDENTOWN 3, PEMBERTON 1 PEMBERTON >> Kevin Cryan’s two goals and another from Aiden Hoenisch helped the Scotties win a school record fourth straight BCSL Patriot Division titles by defeating the Hornets on the final day of the regular season.

Bordentown finished 6-1-1 in the Patriot to overtake Palmyra, which went 6-2 in league play. Bordentwn(13-3-3) 2 1 — 3 Pemberton (6-13) 0 1 — 1

Ryan Keller’s goal and 13 saves by goalkeeper John Braun helped Holy Cross tie Riverside and Florence for the division title with 10 points apiece.

New Egypt finished 4-3-1 in league play.
