TRUMAN EARNS FIRST SONL TITLE
Levittown, Pa. >> The Harry S Truman football team claimed a share of the SONL title for the first time in program history by beating Bensalem, 42-3, on Friday night.
Javeer Peterson had a pair of touchdown runs for the Tigers (9-1, 5-1), who established themselves as the top team in the league after breaking long droughts against longtime powers Neshaminy and Pennsbury.
Truman can now turn its attention to the District One playoffs. The Tigers entered this week’s slate of games with the No. 5 seed, guaranteeing them at least one home game.
