Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. vs. Redskins CB Josh Norman: These two have had a rivalry over the years, and they should line up across from one another plenty Sunday. Beckham recorded a season-high 143 yards on eight catches against the Falcons. Norman, a former AllPro, is the league’s 43rd-best cornerback this season, according to Pro Football Focus.

Giants OTs Nate Solder/Chad Wheeler vs. Redskins DE/LB Ryan Kerrigan: Wherever Washington’s versatile edge defender lines up Sunday, he’ll be the toughest task for the Giants’ offensive line. Kerrigan has 27 sacks since the start of the 2016 season and made two Pro Bowls during that time. Solder, the Giants’ high-priced left tackle, has allowed five sacks in seven games.

Giants LB B.J. Goodson vs. Redskins TEs Jordan Reed/Vernon Davis: With Alec Ogletree set to miss his first game, head coach Pat Shurmur confirmed Friday that B.J. Goodson will see his workload increase. His pass coverage duties are critical because Washington likes to feature its tight ends. Reed and Davis have a combined 31 receptions for 417 yards with two touchdowns.

Giants’ run defense vs. Redskins RB Adrian Peterson: New York is allowing 113.9 rushing yards per game, but for the first time are playing without run-stuffing nose tackle Damon Harrison, whom was traded to the Lions. Peterson, a full Hall of Famer, is enjoying a renaissance in Washington with 438 rushing yards on 4.3 yards per carry (101 attempts).
