Bucks County, PA.
Assault: Pedro Arango-Martinez, 42, was arrested in connection with an alleged assault that took place on February 2, 2016, in an apartment at Center Square Towers. Police say Arango-Martinez punched a woman in the face while she was laying down, then followed her into the bathroom where he continued to punch her in the head and chest. The woman suffered a broken nose, two black eyes, as well as contusion to the head, chest and hand. After his arraignment, Arango-Martinez was taken into custody by ICE on an existing detainer. DUI: Madilyn Nicole Egan, 19, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop for committing several vehicle code violations. Police say she failed field sobriety tests. Jail for Pills: The leader of a Bensalem pill ring will serve time in state prison after pleading guilty earlier this year to felony drug and organized crime charges. Mustafa Curry, 39, of Philadelphia, and four others were charged with passing false prescriptions at several pharmacies throughout Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, in order to obtain and then distribute Oxycodone. A judge sentenced Curry to four and a half to 10years behind bars with a concurrent 15-year term of probation. Curry pleaded guilty in August, admitting his role in the criminal scheme, which used a stolen doctor’s prescription pad to forge drug orders. He received the prescription pad from a former hospital employee. That man also pleaded guilty earlier in the year. Curry said he sometimes hired people with addictions to fill prescriptions for him, and was under pressure from a partner in the scheme to find additional “junkies” to perform the task, the criminal complaint says. Curry was the fifth and final member of the ring to be sentenced.
