Virginia E. Sellers of Trenton

Virginia E. Sellers, 86, of Trenton, departed this life on October 31, 2018 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly, NJ. Born in Trenton, Mrs. Sellers was educated in both Trenton and Perth Amboy. She became a registered nurse after earning her degree from Mercer County Community College and went on to receive advanced degrees in nursing. She worked as a Clinical Coordinator and Program Director at various hospitals, clinics, and private entities before retiring from nursing. Mrs. Sellers was a former member of St. John’s Baptist Church and Friendship Baptist Church before becoming a member of Change Church in Ewing, NJ. She was preceded by her husband, Leonard Sellers; parents, Howard and Della Douglass; brother, Robert E. Douglass; sister, Margaret L. Douglass; grandmother, Elizabeth Starr; two sons, Nathaniel and Gary W. Marshall, and two daughters-inlaw, Mattie and Diane Marshall. Mrs. Sellers leaves to cherish precious memories her daughter, Della Slaughter (Steven Sr.); three sons, Washington Marshall (Paulette), Robert Marshall Sr., and Kenneth L. Marshall

Sr. (Juanita); sister, Mabel Slater; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11 am at Grace Cathedral Fellowship Ministries, 1217 Calhoun St., Trenton, NJ 08638. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9 to 11 am at the church. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery. Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
