12TH MAN TD CLUB PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Offensive Back of the Week, Dante Wilson, Pennington (Sr., RB): Senior co-captain had 196 yards on 22 carries and 3 TDs against a team (St. Luke’s) that shaped up to be one of the toughest on our schedule. Dante finished with 1258 yards on the year and was a very big reason for our success. Has had an outstanding career and really came into his own this year. Offensive Lineman of the Week, Matt Heverin, Robbinsville (Jr., C): With over 400 yards of offense from scrimmage in a crazy game in the Shore Conference (35-27 loss to Matawan), our entire offensive line deserves to be nominated. They couldn’t stop us, but unfortunately, we couldn’t stop them either. Defensive Lineman of the Week, Jordan Allwood, Steinert (Jr., DE): Jordan has been great this year and was very active Saturday. He had 8 total tackles including 2 tackles for loss. He also had a forced fumble and fumble recovery in a win over Hightstown. Defensive Back of the Week, Deon McLean, Lawrence (Jr., CB): Deon had six tackles in the loss vs. Jackson Liberty and leads the team with 6 interceptions on the season. Special Teams Player of the Week, Matthew Hedrick, Ewing (Jr., K/P): Matthew made his first varsity field goal from 32 yards out (he’s only attempted two all season), averaged 34 yards on 3 punts and put one of them inside the 20. His ability to help us change field position allowed us to stay competitive without our two starting tailbacks and quarterback.
