Margaret Ree Venable Dorsey

Margaret Ree Venable Dorsey, 92, departed this life on November 4, 2018.

Born in Jeffress, Virginia, Margaret attended the Witherspoon School and Princeton High School, Princeton, NJ. In 1943, Margaret earned the American Red Cross Home Nursing Certificate while in high school and graduated in 1946.

Margaret worked for Carter-Wallace, Inc. until her retirement from the workforce.

Margaret was a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton, after marriage she became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Trenton, NJ.

She preceded by death her husband Samuel Dorsey; her parents, Cornelia and Prince Venable Sr.; a sister, Dora Kelch; brothers, Prince Venable, Jr. and Donald Venable; niece, June Seward; nephew, Charles Kelch, Jr. (Hughie). Surviving are her sister, Rosalie Venable Connor; sister-in-law, Lulu Venable; nieces include Pamela Dye, Janice Green, Cynthia Pumphrey; great nephews, Roderick Seward, Daniel Kelch, Joseph Kelch, Troy Pumphrey, Jr.; great nieces, Dora Seward, Alicia Pumphrey, Kristen Dye, Jessica Pumphrey, Christina Green; and a host of other great, great grand-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, November 12, 2018 at 10am at Shiloh Baptist Church, 340 Reverend S Howard Woodson Jr. Way, Trenton, NJ. Interment will be in Princeton Cemetery 29 Greenview Ave Princeton, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 8am -10am at the church. Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
