Joe loved his family. They always came first – they were most important. Joe loved life! He would always light up a room when he walked in – always had a joke up his sleeve or a story to tell to make you smile. He would say: “The most wasted of days is one without laughter.”

He loved people! He was employed at NJM Insurance Company retiring after 36 years – where many good friends became our extended family – who gave us so much love and support during his difficult battle with cancer.

Joe had a big heart – always concerned about others, making sure everything was ok with them before his own needs.

He loved food – especially Saturday nights going out to dinner –that was the highlight of the week. He loved working on his model trains and took pride in his home and yard. But most of all, Joe enjoyed spending time with his loving family.

It was the simple things in life that Joe loved and cherished. He was a special person who touched many lives. We will always remember you “Joe LA” – as friends called him.

“The sun will shine in my back door someday. Yes, the sun will shine in my back door someday. March winds will blow my troubles away.”
