TRIVIA - HODGEPODGE
1. The cooking methodology of this food product is popular the world over, but we describe it with this Quechan word that means “to burn meat.” But it’s not burned, it’s dried in a snap.
2. This slang word became a big part of the lexicon during Prohibition. It comes from a Tlingit word for “bear cave,” but we are the ones who changed it to describe an illicit product that was stirred up with a bathtub turner.
3. In the last three years this fish killed a Bolivian and a Brazilian, but ichtyologists say the bloodthirsty reputation is fishy since they’re omnivorous and have as many predators as prey.
4. This kind of fictional, alliterative creature transcends essentially every culture. Be they misunderstood hero or devious villain, most often they’ve succumbed to a form of therianthropy.
5. As seen in the Tollund man or the Egtved girl, this cursed monster does exist, most notably in parts of northern Africa.
6. Besides the Leviathan, this biblical monster is cited in the Book of Job and has come to be synonymous with anything big and powerful.
7. In 1990, this commercialized rapper had the first hip-hop song to top Billboard, but in 2004 it was named the fifth worst song of all time by VH1.
