BETHLEHEM, PA. >> Princeton’s walking wounded can’t get healthy fast enough.

The shorthanded Tigers had one of the worst shooting performances in the Mitch Henderson era in a 72-57 setback against Lehigh at Stabler Arena on Friday night.

Playing without starters Devin Cannady and Jaelin Llewellyn for the second straight game, and this time against a legitimate opponent, Princeton (1-1) tossed up a woeful 4-for-30 (13.3 percent) from 3-point range.

Freshman center Nic Lynch came off the bench and scored 16 points for the Mountain Hawks (3-1), who made their first six shots in the second half and used a 16-3 push to build a doubledigit lead.

Myles Stephens finished with 18 points for the Tigers, but it came on 5-for-16 shooting. Princeton connected on just 28.3 percent from the floor (17-for-60) and scored 57 points on 70 possessions.

Richmond Aririguzoh added 11 points for the Tigers. His layup with 2:46 remaining cut a 20-point deficit to nine, but Princeton didn’t get any closer.

Lance Tejeda had 15, while Pat Andree and Jordan Cohen scored 12 each for Lehigh.

Cannady sits

Cannady went through a full pregame warm up, but remained sidelined for the second straight game with a hamstring problem.

Without Cannady and Llewellyn (foot), Princeton started without a natural point guard. Ryan Schwieger handled the ball for the majority of the first half.

Coach Mitch Henderson went with Schwieger, Ethan Wright, Myles Stephens, Jerome Desrosiers and Richmond Aririguzoh to begin the game.
