Josephine C. “Phinny” Miller age 86 passed away November 13, 2018 at home.

Born in Trenton and was a lifelong resident. She was educated in the Trenton public school system, graduate of Trenton Central High School, and was a graduate of Mercer County Community College where she earned her Associates Degree. Mrs. Miller was a retired Supervisor of Nurses at the Trenton Psychiatri­c Hospital with over 40 years of service. She continued working for Royal Healthgate and King James Nursing Homes. She was a member of Union Baptist Church for the last 20 years.

Daughter of the late Herbert Sally and Corinne Ferguson, step-daughter of the late Cornelius Ferguson, wife of the late Jesse Miller, mother of the late Michael, Ronald, and Steven “Scotty” Miller, sister of the late Anita Williams, and Horace Salley.

Mrs. Miller is survived by three sons Kym (Carol) Miller, Anthony (Cheryl) Miller, and Neal (Alicea) Miller, sister-inlaw Mrs. Jean Black of Cincinati, Ohio, 20 grandchild­ren, 13 great grandchild­ren, 2 great-great grandchild­ren, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Union Baptist Church 301 Pennington Ave. Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Interment Colonial Memorial Park Hamilton, NJ.
