Snow stuck County voter services

-

In my 30 years of driving in snow and ice, I never had such a scary commute as I did during Thursday’s storm around 1 p.m. My black SUV was skidding all over the roads and got stuck going up the bridge on N. Olden Avenue at the train tracks. I want to thank the men who got out of their car and turned my car around so I could move again. (I think everyone who was stuck behind me were grateful too!) I wish I had money on me because they deserved a big tip. There’s still good people out there. I hope they see this. Thank you.

Awesome. There are a lot of good people out there, it’s easy to forget that when people mostly just speak out to complain about the bad ones. Thanks for sharing this nice story, and thank you to the folks who helped her out! — Ed Note

With this Palmucci-McGillicuddy lady, this is troubling enough with her both voter fraud and witness tampering, how about $15,000 raise in four years. That’s even more troubling. Somebody should look into this. — A reader

Well, that wasn’t just raises, it was promotions as well, so it’s not just that she got an extra 15K for the same job, but you’re right, it is troubling. There need to be more safeguards in place to protect taxpayerfunded positions like this from people who will abuse them. — Ed Note Got something you want to get off your chest?
