John Walter “Jack” Gogan, Jr., age 91, of Hamilton, died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Lourdes Medical Center of Willingbor­o, NJ. Mr. Gogan was born October 18, 1927 in Trenton, NJ. He was a lifelong area resident. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Jack, as he was affectiona­tely known, was a retired truck driver and member of the Mid-Jersey Trucking Industry Teamsters Local 701. He was formerly employed by Acme Hamilton Rubber and then Union Camp. He enjoyed attending functions at the Catholic War Vets, bowling, saltwater fishing, cooking and baking and sometimes had hidden treasures in his baked goods. He loved spending time with family. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, great-grandfathe­r, and was proud to be a great great-grandfathe­r.

Son of the late John W. Gogan, Sr., and Margaret (DeBlois) Gogan; husband of the late Marie G. Gogan; friend of the late Elizabeth Fazio; brother of the late Mary Irene Davison; Jack is survived by his 4 children, John Gogan (Debbie), Joseph S. Gogan (Donna), Mary Zienowicz (Stanley), and Theresa Gogan (Richard Jones); 6 grandchild­ren, John A. Gogan (Maryann), Stacey Snellgrove (Eugene), Kelly Gogan, Thomas Gogan, Michael E. Zienowicz (Jennifer Torre), and Jaclyn O’Keefe (Jay); 4 great-grandchild­ren, Alexis, Justin, Savanna, Jack and another greatgrand­child on the way; 2 great great-grandchild­ren, Messiah and Grayson; as well as other family, neighbors, and friends.

Catholic funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 8:45 AM at the Hamilton BrennaCell­ini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercervill­e Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Burial will follow in the chapel at 10:30 AM in the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceli­ne Rd., Wrightstow­n, NJ. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday morning from 8:00 to 8:45 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made in Jack’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
