Shooting Arrest: Devon Woods, 24, was arrested in connection with a shooting that happened on September 24. Officials say a 30-year-old man was shot in the back while in the 400 block of Beatty Street. Over the past few months, police developed enough probable cause to charge Woods with attempted murder, aggravated assault and related weapons offenses in connection with the shooting.

Cash Theft: Cory Wilson, 28, was arrested for allegedly burglarizing a store and stealing approximately $200. The incident happened overnight on November 4, according to police who say video surveillance recorded Wilson smashing the front door with a rock and leaving with two cash registers.

THC Oil Bust: Ralph Lajeuness, 25, and Ameer Keys, 18, were arrested after detectives from the Street Crimes Unit interrupted an alleged drug deal and found six THC oil cartridges, and a marijuana blunt. Police also seized $2,194 from the pair as suspected proceeds from drug sales.

Stolen Glock: Jah’Mir Miller, 22, Alon Marqi Rhette, 21, Zakir Hazel, 19, and Richard Louis Scott Jr., 30, were arrested after police allegedly found a loaded Glock 23 in a vehicle they occupied on North Westfield Avenue. Officials say detectives from the Street Crimes Unit were patrolling when they noticed the men in a Chevy Equinox filled with clouds of smoke. When cops approached the vehicle to investigate, they smelled marijuana, prompting them to search the SUV. Officials say the men had marijuana blunts when cops pulled them from the car, and that the gun and an extra ammunition magazine was found inside the vehicle. The Glock’s magazine contained 13 live rounds and the extra clip contained eight rounds, according to police. All four men are charged with gun possession and receiving stolen property because the weapon was previously reported stolen out of Hamilton. Crack, Pot and Cash: Jamal Spears, 21, was arrested after police allegedly found him in possession of marijuana and crack cocaine packaged for distribution. Officials say cops saw Spears sitting in a parked Buick that had heavily tinted windows, prompting further investigation. Cops also seized $270 from Spears as suspected proceeds from drug sales.

Philadelphia

Counter-protester Charged: Brian Glantz, 23, of Glenside, was charged with aggravated assault on an officer in the performance of official duties for allegedly punching a cop during a rally Saturday. Officials say a group identified as “We the People” held a rally in Independence National Park Saturday, drawing approximately 50 people, many of whom waved flags and made speeches. But approximately 500 counter-protesters showed up for the event and yelled obscenities at both the rally group and law enforcement officers. Officials say numerous law enforcement officers worked together to position themselves between the two groups to prevent a potentially violent confrontation. But Glantz pushed back at cops and punched a Philadelphia Police Department officer in the side of his face. Police say Glantz continued to resist cops’ efforts to arrest him, kicking his legs and wrestling with the officers and park rangers.
