Cheryl “Peachie” Lorraine Colson,

71, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2018 after a brief illness. Born in Trenton, Cheryl was educated in the Trenton Public School system and later received a Bachelor of Science from Trenton State College. She retired from the Trenton Board of Education in 1990 after many years of teaching Physical Education, Health and Swimming. She also served as a coach for the Track Team. Cheryl retired from the Air National Guard after 20 years of service. Predeceased by her father, Elmer Tunstall, Cheryl’s memory will be forever cherished by her mother, Naomi Tunstall; son, Robert E. Colson; brothers, Eric D. Tunstall (Riva) and Carl Tunstall (Janice), a sister, Beverly Turner (Brian); stepmother, Thelma Tunstall; aunts, Luella and Shirley Hoffman; uncles, Lloyd and Joseph Hoffman; nieces and nephews, Eris B. Tunstall, Carl Jr., Travis, Tyler, Janae and Ciara Tunstall; Kayla, Brianna, and Jordan Turner ; her great-niece and great -nephew, Morgan and Javin Tunstall; and special friends, Kathy Malloy, Thelma Myer, Robert “Bobby” Harris, Lorene Williams, Jane Wyche and Kelsey Haynes. A Celebration of Cheryl’s Life will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 6 pm at Shiloh Baptist Church, 340 Rev. S Howard Woodson Jr Way, Trenton, NJ. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, from 4 to 6 pm at the church. Interment will be on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 at 11:15 am in Ewing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cheryl’s memory to the Shiloh Baptist Church Scholarship Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
