Illegal aliens are now driving around without a license. Now if we give them a license, it’s going to make the roads safer? I don’t think that’s going to happen. You still don’t have insurance. Come on, governor, get things straight. It’s not going to make the roads safer just because they give them a license. — A reader

It sure won’t make the roads totally safe, but if some more people are tested and licensed, that’s step one to somewhat safer roads. And you can’t get insurance if you don’t have a license, so it would help in that regard as well. You’re right though, it won’t make the roads totally safer. But hopefully it will help a bit. — Ed Note

Wawa Gas

I am so glad Hamilton Township vetoed the Wawa gas station at the corner of Quaker Bridge and Sloan Avenue or Flock Road. There are two businesses to gas station businesses within two thousand feet, and then they’re going to put that in there? It’s going to drown out everybody else. Is that better business? — A reader

That’s kind of been Wawa’s M.O. all over. They set up near other gas stations, but price them out and offer more options other than gas and it puts the other gas stations out of business. But that’s free-market capitalism and I hope that Hamilton didn’t just find a reason to deny them just for the nimbyism. Also, have you tried their horseradish mac and cheese? It’s probably worth shutting down all other gas stations for.
