TRENTON
Drive-by Shooting: A man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg Sunday morning during a drive-by shooting. Officials say a vehicle drove down Chambers Street with a gunman firing from inside the car around 11:30 a.m. A male victim later arrived at the hospital in a personal vehicle to receive treatment for a gunshot wound to the leg. His injury appears to be non-life-threatening.
Stabbing: A 32-year-old man was grabbed from behind and stabbed multiple times in the area of South Clinton Avenue and Tyler Street. The victim was walking down South Clinton
Avenue when the attack occurred about 4 a.m. Saturday. He suffered lacerations to the back of his arm and back. The victim was highly intoxicated and his cooperation with the police investigation was minimal. He was being treated at Capital Health Regional Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. Police as of Saturday afternoon have not announced any arrests in the case, and no suspect descriptions were provided. CAMDEN COUNTY
Child Porn: Daniel Leal, 25, of Pennsauken, was charged with distribution of child pornography on Friday, according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Pennsauken Township Police Chief John Nettleton. Detectives from the High-Tech Crimes Unit of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office executed a search warrant on Friday at Leal’s residence on the 2200 block of 45th Street. Authorities located numerous digital devices that were taken to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office’s HTCU Forensic lab to be analyzed. Leal was arrested at his residence Friday afternoon without incident and transported to the Pennsauken Township Police Department. After he was processed, he was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility. Under New Jersey’s Criminal Justice Reform rules, the court may order that he be detained or released with conditions. The Camden County Sheriff’s Department Special Response Team and the Pennsauken Township Police Department assisted the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office HTCU detectives on this case. The police investigation remains ongoing.
Bucks County, PA.
Street Fight: Mark Capriotti, 30, was arrested following a fight in the 300 block of Lafayette Street. Capriotti is charged with Drug Bust: Jason L. Higgins, 42, was arrested after police found drugs in a vehicle that was parked at a gas station for more than an hour. Officials say cops saw the driver initially park at the gas station, and then noticed the car still there an hour later while patrolling back through the area. After checking the registration of the vehicle, cops learned it was suspended for insurance reasons. Police then found a male and female in the vehicle, with the distinct odor of marijuana coming from the car. Both occupants denied any knowledge of drugs in the vehicle. But after searching the vehicle, police found multiple baggies of drugs around the driver’s seat and in backpacks that Higgins claimed were his. Assault: Lucia Santos Alvarenga, 29, was arrested for assault and harassment following a drunken fight in the 1100 block of Vincent Drive.
