Princeton beats Steinert in Monroe Tourney final
MONROE TWP. >> The Princeton High girls basketball team came up with an impressive victory in the championship game of the Monroe Holiday Tournament when it defeated Colonial Valley Conference foe Steinert, 47-46, in overtime Saturday.
Catherine Dyevich’s 11 points were high for the Tigers’ balanced attack.
Natalie Mehl paced all scorers in the game with 17 points for the Spartans, while Jayda Bing and Crysten Wood added 10 points apiece.
The teams will meet again at 5:45 Friday at Princeton High in their regularly scheduled CVC matchup.
