Bat Attack: Luis DeJesus, 42, was arrested after allegedly assaulting a neighbor with a baseball bat. The investigat­ion revealed the victim drunkenly knocked on DeJesus’ door, at which time DeJesus confronted the man with a bat, according to police. The victim suffered a head injury that required hospital treatment.

Off With His Head: Cynthia Hawthorne, 54, was arrested after she allegedly threatened to decapitate a man last Friday night. The victim told police Hawthorne started an argument with him because he was making too much noise in the kitchen. The man said he then went to a bedroom, and that Hawthorne followed him carrying two large kitchen knives. While in the bedroom, Hawthorne allegedly said, “I will chop your head off,” and then spit at the victim. The man called police who charged Hawthorne with terroristi­c threats and weapons offenses.

Eye Poke: Christine Lowe, 44, was arrested after she allegedly poked her sister in the eye during an argument regarding the victim’s kids. The woman suffered an abrasion to her cornea and redness in the eye, resulting in aggravated assault charges filed against Lowe. Domestic Assault: Brian McMillan, 38, was arrested after he allegedly beat his girlfriend last year. The victim told police McMillan started an argument with her for going out the previous night and ignoring him. McMillan then searched through her phone, before punching her in the face and strangling her until she lost consciousn­ess. Police say McMillan then realized the consequenc­es of his actions and tried to help the woman, whose face was bleeding. She then ran out of the house and called cops. McMillan had fled by the time cops arrived at the home, but warrants were issued for his arrest and he was apprehende­d Sunday.

Assault on Police: Zaire Leary, 21, was arrested after he allegedly led police on a car chase and then struggled with cops during his arrest. Officials say detectives from the Street Crimes Unit saw a Chevy Impala with illegally tinted windows, which sparked a motor vehicle stop. Police say Leary refused to pull over and led police on a chase, at one point driving the wrong direction down a one-way street. Finally, Leary pulled into a driveway, according to police who say he then refused to exit the car and rolled up the window on a cops hand as she tried to remove him from the vehicle. Leary was handcuffed after a brief struggle and charged with resisting arrest, aggravated assault on police and several motor vehicle offenses. The officer suffered pain, swelling and bruising on her right hand.

Domestic Violence: Carlton Whyte, 25, was arrested Sunday night after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during an argument regarding their parenting agreement. Police say Whyte punched the woman in the back of her head when she tried to leave the house, and then forced her to reenter the Academy Street home. While walking back into the house, police Whyte grabbed a piece of wood from ground and hit her in the leg and lower back. The victim suffered contusions to her leg and waited until Whyte fell asleep to flee and call police.
