Lola Harvey Woodson, daughter of the late Walter and Cora Harvey (Lee) was born in Trenton, NJ on October 10, 1928. Lola exchanged time for eternity on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Capital Health Hospital - Hopewell. A lifelong native of Trenton, she was educated in the Trenton Public School System. Before an early retirement, she was employed by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmen­tal Protection.

Lola accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age at the historical Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton, NJ. Lola was baptized at an early age by Rev. John White at Shiloh. Mrs. Woodson served in the church in every capacity. Lola was an active member in a number of various civic, community and philanthro­pic organizati­ons.

Wife of the late Rev. Dr. S. Howard Woodson, Jr. Pastor and Pastor Emeritus of Shiloh Baptist Church of Trenton, NJ.

In addition to her parents, Lola is predecease­d by her brothers and sisters Leon, Walter, Sam, Isaiah, Amy, Alma, Pauline and Lillian. She leaves to mourn, one daughter, Paulette George (Meeks), two Grandchild­ren, beloved Gennifer George and Jason George (Chesira) of Delaware, GreatGrand­children Arielle and Ahmad Jones, Caydence Russo, Jaxon George and Geovanni George and Lalanei Richardson. She also leaves to mourn a special nephew Bruce Mitchell and special daughter Renee McKithen (Connie Mack), as well as a host of closely cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, special church family and friends namely Alice “Chubby” Crews. Her special bond to Deacon Ollie Green is not to be forgotten.

Funeral service will be 12pm Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Shiloh Baptist church 340 Rev. S. Howard Woodson Jr. Way Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 10am until time of service at the church. There will be a Bereavemen­t Service Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 3:00pm at the Shiloh Baptist Church. Interment Ewing Cemetery. Arrangemen­ts are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
