Lee was born in Trenton, New

Jersey on October 15, 1941. She departed this life peacefully, at home on Friday, January 11, 2019.

Leola was educated in the Trenton, New Jersey school system. She retired from the Trenton Psychiatri­c Hospital after 43 years of faithful employment, serving as a Medical Service Assistant. She was also a Union Representa­tive for Local 1040.

Leola was a lifelong member of the Shiloh Baptist Church of Trenton, NJ. She was a member of the former Gospel Chorus of Shiloh, a member of the Trustee Aid Ministry, the Anna Louise White Missionary Ministry, the Women’s Ministry, the Thursday Noon Day Bible Study, Stitch And Time Ministry and a former member of the Eastern Star, Lady Ruth Chapter 12 organizati­on.

Leola loved to take cruises with her family and friends. She also liked to visit P.C. (smile), play cards with her card club friends and cheer for her favorite football team, the Philadelph­ia Eagles.

Leola was predecease­d by her Father, Murphy Breeden, Sr., and Mother Julia Lucy Breeden, her brother Murphy Breeden, Jr., her sisters Novella Thornton and Juetta Jones and one son Vincent Wayne Meyers.

Leola leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories her husband, John H. Lee, her loving daughters Irene Hart (Tyrone) of Pemberton, NJ, Samantha Douglas (William), Michele Simmons (Freddie) and Dorothy Meyers, all of Trenton, New Jersey; Five Sons, David Meyers, Jr., John Meyers, Michael Meyers, Darnell Meyers, all of Trenton, NJ and Jerome Meyers of Pinellas Park, FL., Step Children Darlene Faison, Beverly Hill, Sharon Lee, John V. Lee (Brenda), Paula Hixon (Theophulus), Troy Lee (Nicole), Victoria Lee and Veronica Lee. Leola also leaves to mourn her loving sisters and brother, Janet Howell (Sweetie Pie), Elizabeth McNeil and Elmer Miller; a host of grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of loving friends which includes “The Golden Girls In Living Color.”

Funeral service will be 10am Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Shiloh Baptist Church 340 Rev. S. Howard Woodson Way Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 8am until time of service at the church. Interment Ewing Cemetery. Arrangemen­ts are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
