Bilgrav, Robbinsville hold off Lawrence
The Robbinsville wrestling team upped its record to 7-7 and 6-1 in the Colonial Valley Conference Wednesday night when it held off Lawrence, 42-27.
Garrett Bilgrav got the Ravens started with a first-period fall at 182 pounds. After Mateo Cruz recorded a fall at heavyweight, the Ravens strong set of lightweights went to work as they swept 106 through 145.
In that run were pins by Shailen Savur and Drake Torrington. Vincent Truong also came through with a 9-2 win over Reece Schenk at 138.
With the loss, Lawrence fell to 12-5. In other CVC action, Hightstown ran over West Windsor North, 52-21, as it continued to close in on a Colonial Division title.
Steinert posted a 45-25 victory over Princeton by dominating the upperweights as Brandon Redondo and heavyweight Thomas Wasylenko both recorded pins in the first period.
