Mitchell-White, Porter Stop TCNJ, MitchellWh­ite Gets NJAC Honor

Myles Mitchell-White (Lawrence) hit a fade way basket with 1.2 seconds left to give Montclair State men’s basketball a thrilling 67-65 win over The College of New Jersey in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Playoffs.

Mitchell-White finished with a team-high 21 points.

On Tuesday, Mitchell-White was named to the All-NJAC Second team. A year ago the former Cardinals player was named the conference Rookie of the Year.

Justin Porter (Ewing) had 10 points and seven rebounds for Montclair State in the win over MEN’S BASKETBALL >> Shaquan Worthy (Trenton), who leads the NJAC in assists, had five points, four assists and four steals in New Jersey City’s semifinal win over Ramapo to send NJCU to the conference final against Rowan on Friday. …Jeff Haddock (Willingbor­o) had 14 points off the bench for New Jersey City in the NJAC regular season final against Ramapo.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL >> Dominique Peters (Lawrence) was named to the All-NJAC second team from Rowan. Peters averages 13.7 points and seven rebounds a game. She will be in the lineup as No. 2 seeded Rowan faces Kean in the NJAC playoffs. WOMEN’S LACROSSE >> Jane Kirby (Lawrencevi­lle) was named the Patriot League Attacker of the Week after scoring four goals and adding an assist in Lafayette’s win over St. Bonaventur­e. …Julia Ryan (Princeton) had a team-high three goals for Temple in a loss to Princeton.
