Trenton
Speeding and Drinking: Caitlyn Hargraves, 19, was arrested shortly after midnight after cops stopped her for speeding. Cops found 33grams of pot after the stop and also cited Hargraves for having illegally tinted windows. She was also cited for having an open bottle of alcohol in the car.
Pot Possession: Tyler Bell, 19, was arrested and charged after cops stopped an Acura that had two men in the vehicle. When cops approached the vehicle they smelled the odor of burnt marijuana. Bell admitted being in possession of pot. He was searched and cops found some pot in his jacket pocket.
In a Stolen Whip: Steven Key, 25, and Marquise Allen, 32, were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, and they were also hit with drug charges. Cops responded to Beatty Street where the owner of the vehicle had reportedly spotted the stolen car. Cops found the vehicle and also found Key and Allen with crack cocaine and heroin. Got That X: Derrick Branch, 24, and Deshaun Dewitt-Nock were arrested after cops found them with drugs. Cops smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and found some handrolled cigars under a backpack in the backseat. Police also discovered five ecstasy pills. Dope Deal: Craig Square, 52, and Harry Zayas, 43, were arrested after cops busted up a drug deal. Square reportedly shouted, “All
I do is get” high when he saw the boys in blue closing in to arrest him and Zayas. Cops found both men in possession of a total of 11bags of heroin, five on one man and six on another. Zayas was also charged with being in possession of a hypodermic needle.
More Dope: Kyjohn Stewart, 18, was arrested by cops and hit with drug charges after they found him with 59glassine bags of dope, stamped “dope dick.” Cops saw Stewart drop the bags on the ground and went to the spot he discarded them to retrieve them.
One Pleads In Fed Takedown:
Donte “Shalant” Ellis, 41, of Trenton admitted his role in a violent drug trafficking conspiracy that allegedly distributed more than one kilogram of heroin in Trenton and the surrounding area, the feds said. Ellis pleaded guilty this week to a single count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 100grams or more of heroin. He also admitted having a gun at time of the crime. Ellis didn’t wait long to get back into the drug game. He had just been released from state prison in August 2018 where he served hard time for conspiracy to commit murder. The feds had been investigating the drug-dealing crews, who they believed were responsible for much of the violent crime in the capital city, for quite some time, until they moved in and dismantled the operation last October. In all, Ellis and 25others were arrested, including alleged ringleaders Jakir Taylor, Jerome Roberts. David “Papi” Antonio and Wayne Bush. The feds used wiretaps and intercepted phone calls and text messages, including one from Taylor, who sent a picture of three handguns, with the message, “War ready.” Ellis is set for sentencing June 13.
Waterford Township
Hammer Attack: Daryl Goss, 25, of Atco, was arrested and charged with attempted murder for allegedly attacking and injuring a woman who was home alone. The attack happened Thursday night around 9:15, when cops responded to a call of a man trying to force his way into a house on Gardens Avenue. Goss is charged with bludgeoning the 28-year-old woman in the head with a hammer. Cops found Goss in the woman’s driveway with her cell phone and the hammer used in the attack. The victim identified Goss as her attacker. Goss also faces charges of aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass, resisting arrest and weapons offenses. He was being held behind bars as prosecutors seek to have him detained until trial.
Perkasie Borough, Pa.
Stolen Property: Idris Yuzon was charged with receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a black Nissan Pathfinder. The vehicle was parked in the alley with the keys in the ignition.
