2019 Mercer Green Fest on March 16, 2019 at Rider University
More than 100 ecofriendly business, organizations, and schools will be offering information and incentives to help you go green and save money at Mercer Green Fest on Saturday, March 16, 2019 form 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. Located in the Rider University Student Recreation Center, which is located on the main campus, 2083 Lawrenceville Rd, Lawrenceville, NJ.
Mercer Green Fest promoting green living for Mercer County Families, is presented by Mercer County Sustainably Coalition. All Mercer county residents are invited to come to have fun while going green! Bring the whole family and invite your neighbors. The Green fest is free and open to the public, rain or shine.
Visitors can learn about a wide variety of sustainability issues and exciting community projects such as: Energy efficiency Biggest electric car display in NJ
Health, exercise, and wellness
Walking and bike trails Food waste recycling programs Science fair and robotics projects for area schools and groups
Farmers market, variety of locally produced food: fruits, vegetables, cheeses, honey, flowers plants, and artisan food products
Family friendly lunch Terhune Orchards will be available for purchases all day
There will be plenty for the kids to do too. This year’s event will feature the Grammy Award nominated
Miss Amy’s Band. Her performance isn’t just about music; Terhune Orchards in Lawrence Township.
she gets them dancing which is a great form of exercise. Eyes of the Wild will be presenting a show on wild life. They always bring fascinating wild animals for children to interact with. Lyle Rowling, owner of Advanced Solar, AKA Solar Man will show kids how solar energy is made with a solar panel!
Local artist will display and sell works made of upcycled trash. Demonstrations throughout the day will show visitors how to make their own upcycled art.
